Keep documents flowing between Dalux — where site teams live — and Trimble Connect — where structural and MEP engineers collaborate. DMS Sync Manager removes the manual export-import loop so both teams always work against the same set of drawings, models and metadata.
How it works
Three steps to keep Dalux and Trimble Connect in sync.
Connect Dalux and Trimble Connect
Dalux uses an API key issued by your Dalux tenant administrator. Trimble Connect authenticates with OAuth 2.0 via Trimble Identity (TID). Each project keeps its own pair of connections, stored encrypted at rest.
Map document areas
Pick a Dalux project document area as the source (or destination) and a Trimble Connect project folder on the other side. Per-task you choose direction, file types, and metadata mapping.
Set rules + cadence
Rules filter by file type (PDF, DWG, IFC, RVT), Dalux revision label, Trimble revision tag, or last-modified window. Schedule hourly, daily, every 6 hours, or on demand. Every run produces a full audit log.

Frequently asked questions
Does this work with both Dalux Box and Dalux Field?
This pair targets Dalux Box / Document — the document storage layer. Dalux Field issues, snags, and inspections are out of scope; they stay in Dalux Field.
Are IFC models preserved through the sync?
Yes. IFC 2x3, IFC 4 and IFC 4x3 pass through unchanged — bytes-identical at the destination. Models keep their property sets, geometry, and structure.
How are Trimble Connect revision labels mapped to Dalux?
Each sync task lets you map Trimble revision attributes to a Dalux metadata field of your choice. New revisions arrive in Dalux as new versions with the revision label written into the configured field.
What about Trimble Quadri models exported into Trimble Connect?
Once a Trimble Quadri model lands in Trimble Connect (as IFC or LandXML), it's in scope for the sync. The sync does not connect to Trimble Quadri directly.
Is the data stored in the EU?
Sync workers run in eu-west-1 (Ireland). Files transit through the workers but are not retained; only metadata and audit logs are stored.
