Dalux ↔ Microsoft SharePoint synchronization

Move documents and metadata between Dalux and Microsoft SharePoint on a schedule you control. DMS Sync Manager closes the gap between Dalux-on-site teams and SharePoint-based project administration without anyone copying files by hand.

How it works

Three steps to keep Dalux and Microsoft SharePoint in sync.

01

Connect Dalux and SharePoint

Authenticate Dalux with API key and Microsoft SharePoint with OAuth or app-only credentials. Each project keeps its own pair of connections.

02

Select source and destination

Pick a Dalux project + document area as the source (or destination), and a SharePoint document library as the other end.

03

Filter and schedule

Rules let you sync only PDFs above a certain version, only the latest revision per drawing number, or only documents tagged with a specific phase. Every run is logged file by file.

What customers do with it

A few real-world scenarios.

  • Push Dalux-issued drawings to SharePoint for office staff who don't have Dalux access.
  • Pull contract amendments from SharePoint into Dalux so site supervisors always see the latest scope.
  • Maintain a SharePoint audit archive of every issued revision out of Dalux for handover documentation.

"Projects rarely fail in design — they fail when teams can't trust they're looking at the latest version."

Frequently asked questions

Does the sync affect Dalux Box or Dalux Field too?

DMS Sync currently targets the document layer (Dalux Box / Document). Field issues and BCF are out of scope for this pair.

Can metadata fields be mapped?

Yes. Sync rules can map Dalux metadata (drawing number, revision, phase) into SharePoint columns so the destination library is searchable by the same fields.

Will SharePoint version history be preserved?

Each new revision arrives as a new version in SharePoint, preserving SharePoint's native versioning. Dalux's revision label is also written into a SharePoint column.

How fast does a change in Dalux show up in SharePoint?

As fast as your schedule allows. Most customers run a 6-hour cadence; on-demand runs are also available for issued-for-construction packages.

Is this approved for ISO 19650 / EN 17412 information management?

DMS Sync provides the audit trail, role separation, and metadata fidelity needed to support ISO 19650 information delivery. Final compliance is on your CDE configuration.
