Bridge Box — the enterprise content cloud used company-wide — and ProStream, the Dutch construction industry's primary contracts-and-submittals DMS. DMS Sync Manager keeps documents and metadata in step automatically, so no one copies between the general document store and the ProStream zaaknummer structure by hand.
Three steps to keep Box and ProStream in sync.
Box authenticates with OAuth 2.0 against your Box enterprise. ProStream connects via an API key issued by your ProStream tenant administrator. Both connections are project-scoped and stored encrypted at rest.
Pick a Box folder as the source (or destination) and a ProStream document set (or section) on the other side. Box metadata templates map to ProStream metadata — zaaknummer, doc type, fase — with direction set per sync task.
Sync only documents in the ProStream states that matter (Concept, Issued, Approved). Rules also filter by file type, label, or last-modified. Schedule hourly, daily, or on demand. Every run is logged file by file.
A few real-world scenarios.
"Projects rarely fail in design — they fail when teams can't trust they're looking at the latest version."
Yes. Each sync task lets you map ProStream metadata fields to Box metadata template fields and vice-versa, so both platforms stay searchable on the same identifiers.
Yes. Rules let you sync only documents in a chosen ProStream state (e.g. only Issued + Approved, never Concept). State changes can also trigger a sync run.
Yes. Each new revision arrives as a new version in the destination, preserving Box's native version history. The ProStream revision identifier is written into a configurable Box metadata field.
You need ProStream Connect API access enabled on your tenant — your ProStream administrator can confirm. DMS Sync handles all the rate limiting and reconnect logic.
Sync workers run in eu-west-1 (Ireland). Files transit through the workers but are not retained; only metadata and audit logs are stored. For Box itself, EU data residency is available via Box Zones.
